Q. I can’t seem to get my guitar to make a connection with the wireless receiver. What do I need to do?

For customers who are having their first experience with a battery operated device:

  1. Make sure you have some new batteries inserted into the guitar.
  2. Make sure you have the + and the – in the correct position.
  3. Now make sure you have the guitar turned on. (there’s a switch).

If you are having difficulties getting a wireless connection try this:

  1. Plug in the Wireless Receiver
  2. Turn on the guitar (Switch is on the back)
  3. Press and hold the connect button on the receiver
  4. Press and hold the connect button on the guitar
  5. Release the button on the receiver
  6. Release the button on the guitar
  7. You should now be connected.
  8. If this still doesn’t work, reset the game system and power off the guitar and try again. Also be sure to keep any other wireless devices away from both the game console and guitar.
Q. My Guitar doesn’t seem to be functioning correctly.. What's the deal?!?
    • Make sure that a red LED is illuminated on your guitar indicating that it is powered on.
    • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the wireless receiver, then restarting the system.
    • If the buttons are not functioning in the game or behaving oddly remove and replace the neck of the guitar.
    • Check to see if the guitar button in question is functioning in the Playstation 3 XMB (the strum bar should scroll you up and down, the fret buttons act like the buttons on the controller)
    • If the strum bar is registering extra hits try keeping a finger on the strum bar while playing the game instead of flicking it with your fingers/hand.
    • Try replacing the batteries in the guitar.
    • Don’t attempt to play PS2 games on your PS3 using this guitar as it is not supported.
Q. One or more of the following parts of my guitar has stopped working:
Strum Bar | Fret Buttons | Tilt Sensor | Other buttons (start, select, dpad, home button)
    • Verify that your guitar’s wireless receiver is firmly connected to the gaming system
    • Try disconnected and reconnecting the guitar, then restarting the system.
    • Check to see if the guitar button in question is functioning outside of the game.
